You’re quite right Jennifer… traditional food in Portugal is heavy on seafood, poultry and eggs. The best bet for vegans is to focus on side dishes. Many of those feature beans (lupini), milho frito ( fried cornmeal) and tomato rice. There’s also gazpacho but you’ll need to request they hold the dairy topping.
