In reply to Ana. Hi Ana Thanks for the positive comment about this post. I don't remember the beds being particularly uncomfortable but comparing the two convents I stayed at I preferred my room at Casa Maria Immacolata as the room was larger and newer (and cheaper). But the location in Trastevere can't be beat for Casa di Santa Francesca Romana. And of course it has no curfew.

Thank you for this amazing post, it’s super helpful! I am considering booking five days at Casa di Santa Francesca Romana and was wondering if you found it comfortable. The reviews online are generally positive, but I also see a few notes about uncomfortable beds. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks for the great recommendation to stay in a convent. I wouldn’t have considered that as an option before reading your article. Looks like it would be a really interesting way to go.
