I think I could be very happy at Secrets Playa Bonita. Buffets are always are good place to find vegetarian options, and like you, I always do a bit of grocery store research before hand.

In reply to Donna Janke. Travelling with dietary restrictions is very hard if you don't know the local language / people aren't used to people being gluten-free or vegan. I find it best to research the area ahead of time in terms of grocery stores and restaurants, when I don't I always regret it!

Secrets Playa Bonita sounds like a great resort. The food options are wonderful. My daughter is vegan with some addition dietary restrictions (soy allergy, gluten intolerance). This winter my husband and I spent a month in Panama in a rural area and I often thought how difficult it would have been for our daughter to find something she could eat if she’d been with us.
