In reply to Caroline Campbell. I used the great Wifi at Secrets Royal beach so can't give any advice about the cell phone service. But they don't have the iPads in the guest rooms as some of other Secrets do, if you're referring to the free long distance calling in North America feature available on the Secrets app. Hope that helps!

I haven’t visited the Dominican Republic and wasn’t aware there had been a seaweed problem there but am glad the problem seems to be abating. The beaches pictured in your photos look lovely!

Didn’t know these things about seaweed. Had lots of them in the Philippines as I was growing up. But I would love to go to those white sands of Bavaro bEach!
